On this tab, users can define one or more spec items for a Style or a Material. For example, the spec item may contain instructions on how to construct a style, children's safety details, washing instructions, cutting and pressing instructions.
The spec items created on this tab can be used to create one or more lines items on the Spec Data Sheet on the Home > Specification > Specs tab.
Create one or more Spec Items
Navigate to Home > Specification > Spec Items tab.
In the Spec Item column, mouse-over Actions and select New Spec Item...
The number of results displayed in the table depends on the number specified in the
Results drop-down. If the total number of rows exceed the number specified in the
Results drop-down, then the More... option is displayed on the Actions mouse-over.
To view the rows that are not displayed in the table, click on More... Note that
the More option will not be displayed when "All" has been selected in the Results
drop-down.
One or more spec item types are defined on the Setup > Configuration > Type Configuration
> Spec Library Item Types tab.
IMPORTANT: Mandatory fields are marked with a red star (*)
Spec Item: Enter a name for the spec item.
Code: Enter code details for the spec item
Description: Enter a brief description for the spec item
To save the details of the new spec item, click on Save.
The spec items will be displayed in the table. Click on a spec item to view the spec item properties on the Spec Item (Properties) tab.
To view the Spec Data Sheet in which the spec item has been used, click on the Where Used tab.
The following attributes are available in the default view:
Spec Item: Spec Item name is displayed. User can edit the information on this field.
Code: Displays the code details for the Spec Item. User can edit the information in this field.
Description: A brief description about the Spec Item is displayed. User can edit information in this field.
Spec Item Type: Displays the Spec Item Type information. User cannot edit this field.
Tags: Select Tags from the drop-down menu.
Active: If the corresponding check box is selected, it indicates that the Spec Item is available and visible throughout the application
Actions: This column consists of icons that allow actions such as Copy, Edit, Delete, etc.
Only those Spec Data Sheets which are in the "Approved" State and are using one or
more spec items will be listed here on the Where Used tab.
