DEFINE COMPOSITION FOR A MATERIAL

A Material may be made from two or more constituent Materials with significantly different physical or chemical properties. In Centric 8, users can define the constituent of materials in the form of Composition.

How to define Composition for a Material

1. Navigate to Home > Material > Material tab.

2. Navigate to Composition column in the Material table.

3. To define Composition for a Material, mouse-over on the Composition cell for the corresponding Material  and select Edit from the pop-up menu.

   

4. The Edit dialog box is displayed. Click on the Add (+) icon to define the composition.

   

5. A new row will be created with the Percentage default defined as 100.

   

6. From the Composition drop-down menu, select the composition type.

   

      

The Material Compositions are defined on Home > Material > Composition tab.

7. Enter the percentage details  in the Percentage field.

      

The selected percentage for the material composition must add up to 100%. Else an error message will be displayed.

8. Click on Save to save the Composition details.

   

9. The Composition details for the Material will be displayed in the Material table.
