TERMINOLOGY

Adobe Illustrator uses the terms Swatch and Swatch Library (also referred to as Color Groups), which are roughly analogous to Centric 8 PLM Color Specification and Color Library.

• Swatch:
  A single RGB, CMYK, LAB, or Grayscale Illustrator color, plus a name.

• Swatch Library:
  Contains one or more Swatches and/or a set of Color Groups.  

• Color Group:
  A named collection of Swatches.
