CREATE A PRINT SPECIFICATION WITH ADOBE CC (2015.3), CC(2017)

Adobe PLMC provides the following two ways to create a print specification:

Create a blank Print Specification without any attached document

1. In the Illustrator extension window, click on the drop-down icon and select New Print Specification.

   

2. In the New Print Specification dialog box, enter the print specification details. Click on the Create Print Specification button.

   

3. To view the new print specification in Centric 8, navigate to Home > Specification > Color Specification > Print Specification tab. The new Print Specification is displayed in the Print Specification table.

   

Create a Print Specification with attached document

1. Open Adobe Illustrator CC.

2. From the Illustrator window, navigate to File > Open... and select an existing document that is saved locally.

   

3. In the Illustrator extension window, click on the Check In button.

   

4. In the Change Location dialog box, Print Specifications are available as a location for upload. Click on Print Specifications.

   

5. In the Change Location - Print Specifications dialog box, to create a new print specification, click on the Create Print Specification button.

   

6. In the Print Specification field, enter a name for the print specification.

7. In the Version 1 Comment field, enter comments.

8. Click on the Check In button.

9. A new Print Specification is created and displayed in the Illustrator window.

   

10. To view the new Print Specification in Centric 8, navigate to Home > Specification > Color Specification > Print Specification tab.

11. To view the uploaded document in Centric 8, navigate to Home > Specification > Color Specification > Print Specification > Docs & Comments tab.
