At the time of installation, depending on the configuration and product specification, Centric 8 installation may include one or more of the following modules and connectors to define, manage and track the product life cycle.
§ Product Specification (Base)
This module takes on a hierarchical structure, which defines product specification and details. It also defines and build season hierarchy. Use product specification to define site libraries and size charts, create and manage canvas pages, create an image library define season hierarchy and define language for bill of materials (BOM), placement, composition labeling and care label translations.
This module defines, Bill of materials (BOM) placement, Composition labeling, Language, Care label translation. You can create a plan to work with material samples and create sample requests in “sandbox” environment. It also defines material sample form details and validation rules including optional color and size fields. If you need to set material samples to official materials, just promote Desired material samples.
This module helps to define supplier, Factory, and shipping. Sourcing details improves; Supplier collaboration and performance tracking, Fabric and color approval by supplier, Sample and cost management–from product concept through final product delivery. Flexible PO management assist to consolidate product color and size variations into a single order for better synchronization with ERP systems.
The Sourcing module also provides creation of a Cost Scenario for every Supplier Quote based on the Routing and BOM details.
This module helps to track collection and product line-specific schedules or time lines throughout the Season hierarchy. You can create calender templates and define milestones, activities and target dates using the calendar feature. You can also track activity completion, technical data sheet phase change, completion metric, and collect activity progress in addition to gap measurement between target and actual delivery dates.
This feature provides a collaborative environment for planning, tracking, and managing product development starting at a high level, and progressively break the project down into smaller pieces. You can also track both forward and backward throughout the planning hierarchy. Note that WBS is available at the Style level only.

This module support collection, style, and colorway planning by season to meet business objectives. It also supports, Target FOB assignment, Wholesale and retail pricing, Target sales, Production-style volume development. The business planning application allows you to define top-down (tactical) line planning and compare bottom-up (strategic).
This module defines quality assurance testing methods, standards, procedures, and expectations on materials and Style types defined in Centric 8. The flexibility of the Quality module specifies each test type and create a set of standard test specification libraries from which you can select a product, product sample, material, or material sample. Create customized tests eliminating last-minute quality issues to determine product or material adjustments in the designing process. It helps to define test types and create test groups for ease of tracking and reporting. With the use of new Custom View report feature, it defines a wide-range of detailed tracking reports.
Once you define and apply testing on a material or Style type, you can select a set of tests in a Test Run and track testing through the Test Run technical data sheet (TDS)
This module helps to generate reports as per Customer requirements. The output can be generated as a PDF, XL form or graphical representation.
§ Collection Management Module
This module is an iPad interface which helps the user to browse an online catalog of Centric 8 products. You can view the detailed information about the Product at the Marketing and Sales level. You can also setup Vendors and Sales Divisions.
This module supports the merchandise planning processes for an organization. This module allows users to configure their own hierarchy and come with very few attributes. Merchandising module has the Plan, Folder, Collection, Product, and Option levels in order to configure the hierarchy. The Folder level of this hierarchy helps to create multiple folders allowing flexibility in depth of the desired hierarchy.
This module is a feature-rich, search and indexing tool that allows you to search, manage, and share up-to-date product data within Centric 8. This module helps to search index, track and view product data automatically. You can search across structured and unstructured data, and organize and share data with other users.
This module consent to add and view Adobe images in the system. Add and modify images and securely store Adobe Illustrator native (.ai) files in a secure Centric 8 PLM location. This seamless interface automatically generates a thumbnail image of art boards, enabling cross-team communication. When required you can use the revision history to revert to previous versions of a files.
