Select an item from the drop-down list and then enter the search criteria in the text box. To search for the specified items, click on the search icon.

For example, select Department from the drop-down list. Type "Pants" in the search text box. To view the results of the search, click on the search icon.

Since Centric 8  is customizable, your tab and library names, as well as the order in which they appear in the UI, may differ from those used in this Help system. Contact your Site Administrator for customization details.

The following tabs are available in the Centric 8 OOTB version:

Most of the high-level tabs consist of sub-tabs. The display of tabs may vary depending on the arrangement of information and also the access rights provided to the user accessing the Centric 8 application.

Navigating the tabs

The following icons are available to navigate the view for all the available tabs:

 Click on this icon to view the tabs on the left.

 Click on this icon to view tabs on the right.

 Note: If the browser window is wide enough to accommodate all the tabs, the scroll arrows will not be displayed in the corners of the tab view. Also, the  above scroll icons may not be displayed if the list of tabs is very small or the number is few.

This section displays all daily Announcements and notices customized by the Site Administrator.

This section provides a view of the favorites list set by the User. To set a favorite, navigate to any tab in the Centric 8 application. On the menu bar, click on the Tag Page as Favorite icon.,

Click on the Add to Favorites icon,

The favorites list is displayed in the Favorites section,

Editing the Favorites list

 To change the order of a particular tab in the list

1. To select a particular item, click on the Drag icon,

2. While continuing to select the icon, drag the contents of row either up or down to change the position of the row

 To delete a particular tab details from the list

1. To delete a particular item from the list, click on the Delete icon corresponding to the required item,

At the time of defining an activity(ies) in the Calendar module, it is possible to specify the "Responsible Party" for one or more Activities. All Calendar Activities for which the User (currently logged in ) is the designated "Responsible Party", will be displayed here. Using the Custom Views option, it is possible to track Calendar Activities for all the completed and pending tasks.

This section displays the details of the location navigated by the User within Centric 8.  The display includes a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 20. To view a particular location detail,  click on the required view in the list.

The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) activities referred to as Schedule is defined in the Setup > WBS Activities tab. All activity details (for which the logged in user is responsible) can be viewed in the My Actions table. All the completed and pending tasks can be viewed in this table.

When the Configure Dashboard option is turned off, users can only Drag and Drop or Expand various panes in the Dashboard. However, to edit, add a new widget pane or to remove an existing widget pane, click on the Configure option to turn it on.

When the Configure Dashboard option is turned on, Users can edit, remove, drag and drop a widget pane. Also, Users can add a new widget pane from the Add a new pane section. For more details on how to configure the dashboard, see Topic Home Page - Features
