You can create BOM Types here that are applicable for Style BOMs and Material BOMs.

1. In the StyleBOM Type column, mouse-over Actions and select New Style BOM Type. In the New Style BOM Type dialog box, enter the details and click on Save.
2. The new Style BOM Type is created and displayed in the table.  By default, the Active column and the Automatic Placement Tracking check boxes are not selected.
3. Check the Active check box to make the BOM Type active.
4. Select the Automatic Placement Tracking check box to activate the automatic Placement Tracking. When placements are created for the Style BOM, they will be automatically tracked.
5. By default the Published column checkbox is greyed out and not selected. However, after you Update Configuration, the Published column checkbox will be selected and greyed out to indicate that the BOM Type is published and available for use in the Centric 8 application.
6. To execute the icons in the Actions column referGeneric Features.

1. In the Material BOM Type column, mouse-over Actions and select New Material BOM Type. In the New Material BOM Type dialog box, enter the details and click on Save.
2. The new Material BOM Type is created and displayed in the table.  By default, the Active column checkbox is not selected.
3. Check the Active check box to make the BOM Type active.
4. By default the Published column checkbox is greyed out and not selected. However, after you Update Configuration, the Published column checkbox will be selected and greyed out to indicate that the BOM Type is published and available for use in the Centric 8 application.
5. To execute the icons in the Actions column refer Generic Features.

How to Update Configuration

1. From the main menu bar, select Actions > Update Configuration.
