The Adobe PLM Connect links the Adobe Creative Suite and Centric 8 PLM application to facilitate Apparel designers to add or modify Data Elements like Style, Style Images, Documents, Colorways etc.

The Companion Application is used to customize ${Material.Name} Attributes, ${Style.Name} Attributes and Design Labels to reflect the information in Adobe Illustrator. Also, the information updated using Adobe Creative Suite applications can be seen in the Centric 8 Application.

SECTION: MATERIAL PROPERTIES VIEW

  1. Select the ${MaterialType.Name} in ${MaterialType.Name} drop-down.
    NOTE: If you select All, the created Custom View is displayed for all ${MaterialType.Plural}.
  2. If you select a particular ${MaterialType.Name}, then the created custom view is displayed only for the selected ${MaterialType.Name}.

SECTION: STYLE PROPERTIES VIEW

  1. Select the ${StyleType.Name} in ${StyleType.Name} drop-down.
    NOTE: If you select All, the created Custom View is displayed for all ${StyleType.Plural}.
  2. If you select a particular ${StyleType.Name}, then the created custom view is displayed only for the selected ${StyleType.Name}.

SECTION: DESIGN INTENTS

All enabled attributes will be supported by Adobe Illustrator and displayed under Centric Extension – Image Indents tab.

The following attributes are displayed in this section:

NOTE: 

  1. When the above check boxes are enabled, they are displayed in Centric 8 Extension.
  2. The Visible Layers is editable only when Support Illustrator Layers check box is checked.
  3. The Labeled Image, Data Sheet Image and Product Color Image are visible only when the respective checkboxes are selected in the application.

SECTION: ILLUSTRATOR IMAGE GENERATION

In this section, Users can specify details for the image generation in Adobe Illustrator. The following attributes are available in this section:

In this section, Users can specify whether or not the the PLM Connect settings should be visible and editable.
