Centric 8 Localization allows you to customize display ${Name} across Class Types, ${EnumList.Name} lists, ${Actions} and ${LocaleView} propagating your changes across the ${User.Name} interface.

Additionally, you can add 
${LocaleTooltip}, ${ERROR} messages and ${Language.Name} translations to the UI.  
 
NOTE: The Types table is initially set to a page size of 20 and the language setting is that of the system and not that of the user.

To change details in the Types table

  1. Click on a Type name in the Type column OR
  2. From the table toolbar, In the Filter text box, enter the name of the Type and press Enter.
  3. Change details in the Display Name column as required.
  4. If a plural has been pre-defined for the selected type, then the details in the corresponding Plural column will be updated automatically.

EXAMPLE: If the Display Name for a Style has been changed to 'GROUP', then the details in the Plural column will be updated to 'GROUPS' automatically.

Else, if the Plural has not been pre-defined for a particular type, then enter the details in the respective cell of the Plural column for the selected Type.

Changing the display name of the Types on this tab will result in a change in the view at the site level.

EXAMPLE: Change the display name of the TYPE 'Style' is changed to 'GROUP'. To reflect this change within the C8 application, select Tools > ${UpdateConfiguration}. To verify the change, navigate to the Home Page and view the tabs listed at the site level. You will now see a tab named 'GROUP'
 
The Type tab consists of the Types table and the ${ConfigurableAttribute.Plural} table.

To view the attributes associated with a particular Type 

  1. Click on a Type name in the Type column OR
  2. In the Filter text box, enter the name of the Type and press Enter.
  3. The corresponding Attributes for the selected Type is displayed in the Attributes Switchboard table. 

NOTE:
a. The Display Name and Tooltip column cells are editable in the Switchboard table.
b. The table displays all matching items within any field in the selected table.
c. 
The editable fields are indicated with a grey triangle in the corner of the cell.
d. To change the display name of an 
${ConfigurableAttribute.Name}, click on the Display ${Name} field and enter the name to be displayed.
 

IMPORTANT: In order for any change to be reflected in the Centric 8 Application, from the main menu bar, select Actions > ${UpdateConfiguration}.
