On this tab, you can define the Sampling Plan to conduct final inspections of the product. The industry-wide standard ISO 2859-1 is used to create the Sampling Plan.
How to create a new Sampling Plan
- From the Sampling Plan column, mouse-over Actions, and then select New Sampling Plan. The New Sampling Plan dialog box is displayed.
- In the New Sampling Plan dialog box, in the Sampling Plan box, enter the name of the new Sampling Plan.
- In the Acceptance Limits drop-down list, select an appropriate Acceptable Limits, and then click Save. A new row is created in the Sampling Plan table.
- Enter appropriate description details for the new Sampling Plan in the Description column.
- In the Inspection Level drop-down list, select the Level 2 option.
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:
- Sampling Plan: The Sampling Plan name which can be edited/updated.
- Description: A brief description of the sampling plan which can be edited/updated.
- Inspection Level: This column lists the following three inspection levels per the industry-wide standard. These inspection levels are defined in the Enumerations table (Setup > Configuration > Enumerations > InspectionLevel).
- Level 1: This level is preferred by the buyer when the supplier is delivering quality products consistently. This level recommends fewer samples for inspection.
- Level 2: This is the most widely used inspection level by the industry. When no inspection level is mentioned, then this inspection level is applied by default. This level recommends moderate samples for inspection.
- Level 3: This level is preferred by the buyer when the supplier is delivering quality products inconsistently. This level recommends more samples for inspection.
- Actions: This column provides the Copy and Delete options to manage the Sampling Plans. For more information, refer to Generic Features.
NOTE: To view the Properties and Sampling Plan Table sections of a Sampling Plan, click on the related Sampling Plan name.
