This tab allows users to setup and perform final inspections in an iterative manner. Additionally, the style product specification determines the content of the inspection. Based on the available specification details, the tests are planned for final inspections.

The inspection related information is set up at the inspection level, while the execution of inspection activities are managed at the inspection batch level.

In addition to the generic inspection, it is possible to create one or more new inspections from the following:

How to create a New Inspection

  1. From the Inspection column, mouse-over Actions, and then select New Inspection.
  2. In the General Info tab, enter details for the following fields:
  3. Click on Next to select Orders or Shipments. The Select Orders or Shipments tab is displayed.
    NOTE: Shipments or Orders information will be displayed only if the selected Supplier has the associated information.
  4. In the Select Orders or Shipments tab, select the check boxes corresponding to the required Orders or Shipments.
  5. Click on Finish. The new inspection details are created and displayed in the Draft state.
  6. To save this inspection as a template, in the Actions column, click on Save as Template icon.
  7. To change the state of Inspection from Draft to Planned, click on the State drop-down list, and then select Start.
    NOTE: Once the state of the Inspection has been changed from Draft to Planned, then it cannot be changed back to the Draft state.

How to create New Inspections from Styles

  1. From the Inspection column, mouse-over Actions, and then select New Inspections from Styles. The New Inspections from Styles dialog box is displayed.
  2. In the New Inspections from Styles dialog box, enter details for the following fields:
  3. Click on Save. The new inspection details are created and displayed in the Draft mode.
    NOTE: If users have selected only one Style, then a new Inspection is created with the Inspection name is suffixed with the numerical value '1'. If users have selected two Styles, then two new individual Inspections are created. For example, INSPECTION_NAME 1 and INSPECTION_NAME 2. Based on the number of selected Styles, the Inspection name is sequentially suffixed with the numerical values.

How to create New Inspections from Orders

  1. From the Inspection column, mouse-over Actions, and then select New Inspections from Orders. The New Inspections from Orders dialog box is displayed.

NOTE: The commented fields are displayed with a red triangle in the upper-right corner of the cell.
