On this tab, you can define the list of inspection questions that are used to inspect the quality of the items. Quality Inspectors use these list of inspection questions to ensure that the inspected items are in compliance with the defined quality standards. Each inspection question is represented as a Test Specification.
For example, Carton weight, fabric check, packing, folding, embroidery, print, seam, care label check, deviation, specification check, reinspect, and so on.
How to create a Test Specification
- From the Test Specification column, mouse-over Actions, and then select New Test Specification. The New Test Specification dialog box is displayed.
- In the New Test Specification dialog box, in the Test Specification box, enter the name of the new test specification.
- In the Code box, enter a code of the new test specification.
- In the Linking Type drop-down list, select an appropriate linking type value.
- Click on Save.
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:
- Test Specification: Displays the name of the test specification which can be edited/updated.
- Latest Revision Name: Displays the latest revision name of the test specification which can be edited/updated.
- Latest Revision Description: A brief description of the latest revision of test specification which can be edited/updated.
- Code: Displays the code of the test specification which can be edited/updated.
- Latest Revision State: Displays the latest revision state of the test specification. The applicable states are DRAFT and APPROVED.
- Latest Revision Apply to Style Types: Displays the latest revision of the applied Style Types in the drop-down list which can be selected/cleared.
NOTE: This attribute sets a filter when adding a test specification to a section in an inspection. When a template is used to create an inspection, this attribute is not used to filter the tests that are part of the related template. - Latest Revision Material Filter: Displays the latest revision of the Material Types in the drop-down list which can be selected/cleared.
- Latest Revision BOM Placements: Displays the latest revision of BOM placements in the drop-down list which can be selected/cleared.
NOTE: This attribute is used to determine if the related test specification is considered for each BOM line with the related Placements. If this attribute is blank, then it can use all BOM lines by default. - Latest Revision Items Filter: Any attribute based filter can be created through the Edit Filter dialog box. This item filter is used when an Inspection Batch is created and the test specification is used to create the batch tests.
- Latest Revision Colorway dependent: This attribute is used to determine whether the batch test is created per colorway or only per BOM line.
- Tags: A brief tag name can be created/updated.
- Actions: This column displays the following options to maintain the test specifications:
- Approve the current revision
- Create a new revision based on the current revision
- Edit
- Copy
- Delete

NOTE: The blank cell option initiates no action.
NOTE: The editable fields are displayed with a grey triangle in the lower-right corner of the cell.
NOTE: The commented fields are displayed with a red triangle in the upper-right corner of the cell.
