On this tab, you can define the Error Type to represent the severity of a defect. While performing the inspection, the identified defects are classified and categorized into the following three categories. These error types are used to relate various Acceptance Quality Limit of a Sampling Plan.

Based on the severity of the error type (for example, Critical), the full inspection of the lot size is recommended.

How to create an Error Type

  1. From the Error Type column, mouse-over Actions, and select New Error Type. A new row is created in the Error Type table.
  2. In the Error Type box, enter the name of the error type.
  3. In the Full Inspection column, select the check box to represent that the full inspection of the lot size, shipment quantity, or order quantity must be performed.

The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:

NOTE: The editable cells are displayed with a grey triangle in the lower-right corner of the cell.

NOTE: The commented fields are displayed with a red triangle in the upper-right corner of the cell.
