On this tab, you can create a defect library, and these defects are used while performing inspections. Also, this tab provides a classification framework of the identified defects. Defects are created with a standardized defect code and description to maintain the description text into several local languages.

The Business Object Defect is enabled with image labels which allow maintaining the defect library with the following benefits:

How to create a new Defect

  1. From the Defect column, mouse-over Actions, and then select New Defect. A new row is created in the Defect table.
  2. In the Defect box, enter the name of the new Defect.
  3. In the Defect Category drop-down list, select an appropriate Defect Category value.
  4. In the Localized Name box, enter the localized name of the new defect.
  5. In the Code box, enter a standardized code of the new defect.
  6. In the Description box, enter an appropriate description of the new defect.
  7. In the Image column, mouse-over within the cell, and select Browse Images from the context menu that appears. The Browse Images dialog box is displayed.
  8. In the Browse Images dialog box, click on the Upload button. The Open dialog box is displayed.
  9. In the Open dialog box, locate the required image file, and then click on Open.
  10. In Browse Images dialog box, click on Save to upload the selected image.
  11. In the Tags drop-down list, select an appropriate tag name, or enter a new tag name for the defect and select the related check box.

The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:

NOTE: The editable fields are displayed with a grey triangle in the lower-right corner of the cell.

NOTE: The commented fields are displayed with a red triangle in the upper-right corner of the cell.
