On this tab, you can define the Acceptance Limits to perform the final inspections. The Acceptance Limits is also called as Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) with reference to the industry-wide standard ISO 2859-1. It is a pre-requisite for creating a Sampling Plan.
Using the AQL, the acceptance criteria is defined to pass or fail the inspection using the following parameters:
- The number of samples to be inspected per lot size. The lot size is then converted into a Shipment or Order quantity.
- The number of non-conformity items allowed to pass or fail the inspection.
How to create a new Acceptance Limit
- From the Acceptance Limit column, mouse-over Actions, and then select New Acceptance Limit. The New Acceptance Limit dialog box is displayed.
- In the New Acceptance Limit dialog box, enter an appropriate detail for the Acceptance Limit and Sort Order boxes, and then click on Save.
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:
- Acceptance Limit: The name of the Acceptance Limit which can be edited/updated.
- Sort Order: A numerical value which can be edited/updated and it is used in the Sampling Plan.
- Actions: This column provides the Edit and Delete options to manage the Acceptance Limit. For more information, refer to Generic Features.
NOTE: The blank cell option initiates no action.
