On this tab, you can define Product Symbols for type:

• Brand
  
• Feature
  
• Function
  

How to create a new ${ProductSymbol.Name}

1. In the Product Symbol column, mouse-over ${Actions} and select ${New} ${ProductSymbol.Name}
2. A new row is created in the table. Enter the ${ProductSymbol.Name} name and other details for all the editable cells which are indicated by a grey triangle displayed in the right-hand bottom corner of the cell.
3. The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:

• ${ProductSymbol.Name}: Enter a name for the ${ProductSymbol.Name} which can be edited
• Localized Name: To facilitate better understanding in local language, you can localize the ${ProductSymbol.Name}. 
• Description: Enter a brief description for the ${ProductSymbol.Name}
• Type: You can define the ${ProductSymbol.Name} to of type Brand, Feature or Function 
• Rank: Enter a ranking number for the ${ProductSymbol.Name}
• Tags: You can create one or more tags here. Click anywhere within the Tags cell and enter a tag name and click anywhere outside the cell. The new tag name is created and displayed in the table.
• Image: Click anywhere in the cell and select the Browse Images link. In the Browse Images dialog box, select the image for the ${ProductSymbol.Name}
• Active: This checkbox is selected by default to indicate that the ${ProductSymbol.Name} is active and available throughout the Centric 8 application. To render this ${ProductSymbol.Name} inactive and unavailable, de-select the checkbox.
• Actions: Icons for edit, delete etc. are displayed in this column. For more details, refer Generic Features section.

To view the properties of a ${ProductSymbol.Name}, click on the required ${ProductSymbol.Name}.

How to Localize ${Material.Name} ${Name}

1. To facilitate better understanding in local language, you can localize the ${ProductSymbol.Name} name.
2. Click on the Localized ${Name} column to select a local language and enter the name of the ${ProductSymbol.Name} in the selected language.
3. When the local language is English, mouse-over to display the equivalent name in the selected language.
   
4. When the local language is the selected language, the Localized Name column displays the product symbol name in the selected language.
