Centric 8 gives you an option to assign an alternative product for a ${Style.Name}. The Specifications of the alternative Product can be used in BOM and Routing. In this page, you can create a ${ProductAlternative.Name} Template. 

How to define ${ProductAlternative.Name} Specification

1. Mouse-over ${Actions} and select ${New} ${ProductAlternative.Name} Specification. Enter the details in the table. 
   

NOTE: The ${Active} checkbox is automatically selected indicating that the ${New} ${ProductAlternative.Name} Specification is active and available throughout the Centric 8 application. Clear this check box to make it inactive.

Check the ${SupplierItem.Name} Expected check box, to use the ${ProductAlternative.Name} Specification in a ${Style.Name}.

Click on a ${ProductAlternative.Name} Specification to view its Properties.
