You can use this tab to create Samples using a ${Material.Name} Placeholder that includes color and size, and select them while creating a Sample Request. Note that there is no link to the color in the placeholder item. You can create multiple ${MaterialSample.Plural} and then determine which material you wish to promote to a real material in the system.

How to create a new ${MaterialSample.Plural} 

  1. In the Material column, mouse-over ${Actions} and select ${New} ${MaterialSample.Name}
  2. In the ${New} ${MaterialSample.Name} dialog box, enter the required details and click on ${Save}
    NOTE: Mandatory fields are indicated with a (*)
  3. The new material sample is created and displayed in the table. To view the properties of the material samples, click on a material sample name in the Material Samples column.

You can also update details directly in the Material Sample table.

TIP: The editable fields are indicated by a grey triangle displayed in the right-hand bottom corner in the corner of the cell.

How to edit data in the ${ProductSize.Plural} field  

  1. In the Size column, mouse-over ${ProductSize.Name} field and click on Edit link. 
  2. In the Edit dialog box, edit the requisite details and click on ${Save}

NOTE: The Size field attribute details will be editable ONLY if the "Has Size" attribute has been specified at the time of defining the Material Type on the Setup > Configuration tab.

NOTE: To execute the icons in the ${Actions} column refer Generic Features. Click on "Detach ${MaterialSample.Name} from ${Material.Name}" icon in the ${Actions} column to detach the ${MaterialSample.Name} from the ${Material.Name}.

Click on a ${MaterialSample.Name} to view its properties.
