You can define multi-level classification for a Product category. These are categorized as ${Classifier0.Name}, ${Classifier1.Name}, ${Classifier2.Name}, and ${Classifier3.Name}, with ${Classifier0.Name} as the highest level and ${Classifier3.Name} as the lowest level classification. When creating a ${Style.Name}, users can associate the ${Classifier3.Name} with the style.
How to define ${Classifier0.Name}
- In the Classifier0 table, mouse-over ${Actions}, and then select ${New} ${Classifier0.Name}.
- In the Classifier0 column, enter the name for the new ${Classifier0.Name}.
- Update the appropriate column details for the created new Classifier0.
How to define ${Classifier1.Name}
- In the Classifier0 table, click on the expand icon (>) corresponding to the ${Classifier0.Name} to define the next level of Classifier, i.e., ${Classifier1.Name}.
- Mouse-over ${Actions} and select ${New} ${Classifier1.Name}.
- In the Classifier0 column, enter the name for the new ${Classifier1.Name}.
- Update the appropriate column details for the created new Classifier1.
How to define ${Classifier2.Name}
- In the Classifier0 table, click on the expand icon (>) corresponding to the ${Classifier1.Name} to define the next level of Classifier i.e., ${Classifier2.Name}.
- Mouse-over ${Actions} and select ${New} ${Classifier2.Name}.
- In the Classifier0 column, enter the name for the new ${Classifier2.Name}.
- Update the appropriate column details for the created new Classifier2.
How to define ${Classifier3.Name}
- In the Classifier0 table, click on the expand icon (>) corresponding to the ${Classifier2.Name} to define the next level of Classifier i.e. ${Classifier3.Name}.
- Mouse-over ${Actions} and select ${New} ${Classifier3.Name}.
- In the Classifier0 column, enter the name for the new ${Classifier3.Name}.
- Update the appropriate column details for the created new Classifier3.
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:
- Classifier0: This attribute displays the Classifier0, Classifier1, Classifier2, or Classifier3 name. To view the properties of the Classifier, click on the related Classifier name.
- Code: This attribute displays the code for the Classifier0, Classifier1, Classifier2, or Classifier3.
- Description: This attribute displays a brief description for the related Classifier.
- Active: If this check box is selected, then the corresponding Classifier is available and visible throughout the Centric 8 application.
- Actions: This column provides Copy and Delete options. For more details, refer to Generic Features.
NOTE: The ${Active} check box is automatically selected for the Classifier3 to make it active. Clear the check box to render it inactive.
IMPORTANT: The active Classifier3 is available at Style level.
NOTE: The editable fields are indicated by a grey triangle in the lower-right corner of the cell.
NOTE: The blank cell option initiates no action.
