You can use this page to create materials which are subsequently used throughout the application.
How to create a new ${Material.Name}
- In the ${Material.Name} table, in the ${Material.Name} column, mouse-over ${Actions} and select ${New} ${Material.Name}... .
- In the New ${Material.Name} dialog box, enter the material details and click on ${Save}.
- You can also update details in the Material table.
- The attributes in the default view are as follows:
- Material: The name of the material
- Code: The code for the material
- Description: A brief description of the material
- Season: Click anywhere within the cell and select a Season to associate with the selected Material
- Brand: This attribute is not editable by default. Only on selecting the Season, this attribute is rendered editable. Click anywhere within the cell to select a brand from the available drop-down list. The list brands are associated with the Season selected in the previous column.
- Managed: This checkbox is displayed as Selected only when the Manage radio button on the Material > Properties page has been selected. If it has been selected in the Properties page, the Status field becomes editable. You can select Status as either Pending or Approved.
- Status: This attribute is not editable by default. Only when the Managed attribute is set to True in the Material > Properties page, the Status attribute is rendered editable. Click anywhere within the cell and select either "Pending" or "Approved". Selecting the "Blank" option will not initiate any action.
- Material Type: The Material Type is selected at the time of defining the new Material.
- Default Color: Click anywhere within the cell to select a color from the drop-down list. All the colors listed in the drop-down menu are defined on the Material > Specification > Color Specification tab.
- Composition: This attribute explains the composition of the Material. To define the composition of the selected material,
- Mouse-over on the cell and select Edit.
- In the Edit dialog box, click on the Add icon.
- A new row will be created with the Percentage default defined as "100"
- From the Composition drop-down menu, select the composition type.
- Edit details in the Percentage field as required.
NOTE: The selected percentage for the material composition must add up to 100%. Else an error message will be displayed.
- Security Group: Click anywhere within the cell and select a material security group from the drop-down list. One or more Security groups are defined on the Material > Material Security Groups tab.
- Libraries: Select a Material Library to which the Material belongs. One or more Material Libraries can be defined on the Material > Specification > Libraries tab.
- Tags: Click anywhere within the cell to select from an existing list of tags OR create a new tag. To create a new tag,
- Enter a tag name in the drop-down box displayed within the cell
- Click on the Add icon to add the new tag to the list of tags and also associate it with a Material
- Repeat step 1-2 to continue to add tags.
NOTE: Users can associate one or more tags with a selected Material.
- Image: Mouse-over within the cell and select the Browse Images link. In the Browse Images dialog box, upload one or more images and click on save. The selected image will be displayed in the Image column as a thumbnail.
- Active: By default this checkbox is selected to indicate that the selected Material is active and available throughout the application. To render this attribute unavailable and inactive, de-select the checkbox.
- Actions: This column displays icons for edit, copy and delete. For more information on how to execute the icons in the ${Actions} column, refer Generic Features.
Click on a ${Material.Name} name to view and edit the material details on the Properties tab.
