Using the WBS Management tab, you can:
- set up project tracking date calculations,
- specify email notifications, and
- create WBS Templates and tasks for WBS through the Work-Breakdown Structures.
NOTE: If you change the template name, it no longer functions accurately in the application
SECTION: ${Wbs.Name} SETTINGS
The following attributes can be defined in this section:
- Use Work Calendar?: Select this checkbox to specify use of a 5-day week work calendar (Monday through Friday). If not selected, then the work is specified as 7-days a week, Sunday through Saturday, allowing you to customize the calendar to meet your corporate needs.
- Use Fraction Complete: Select this checkbox to use the percentage of task completed value to calculate the expected end date for a task.
- Milestone Template: Select a template from the drop-down list, as your high-level view of project milestones. A WBS template assigned in the application is compared against this set of milestones in the Schedule tab in the Product hierarchy.
- NOTE: You must define at least one WBS Template in the WBS Templates section, before you can populate this field.
- Lateness Calculation: Click on Lateness Calculation and select the calculation basis when there is a delay in work completion.
SECTION: WBS TEMPLATES
To define ${New} ${Wbs.Name} Template
- Mouse-over ${Actions} and select ${New} ${Wbs.Name}. In the ${New} ${Wbs.Name} dialog box, enter the Template name and click on ${Save}
- You can also update details in the table.
- NOTE: The editable fields are indicated with a grey triangle in the corner of the cell
- Check the ${Active} check box to make the ${Wbs.Name} Template active.
- To execute the icons in the ${Actions} column refer Generic Features.
- Click on a ${Wbs.Name} to define ${WbsElement.Plural}.
