On this tab, you can select the ${WbsElement.Plural} for the selected ${Wbs.Name} Template.
The ${Wbs.Name} table displays the planned schedule. Select the Auto-Start on Planned Start check box, to start the activity on the planned day.
NOTE: The editable fields are indicated by a small grey triangle displayed in the right top corner of the cell.
To create ${WbsElement.Plural}
- In the ${WbsElement.Plural} table, mouse-over ${New} and select ${New} ${WbsElement.Name}.
- In the ${New} ${WbsElement.Name} dialog box, enter the details and click on ${Save}.
- You can also update details in the ${WbsElement.Plural} table.
The following attributes are displayed in the default view:
- WBS Task: The name of the task
- Description: A brief description of the task
- Duration: Enter the duration for a task
- NOTE: If a parent task consists of one or more sub-tasks, users can update the duration for each of the sub-task. The parent task is updated automatically thereafter.
- Deadline: Click anywhere within the cell and select a date for completion of the task
- Critical Path:
- Start Policy: From the drop-down menu, select an option as a policy for the start of a task. The following options are available in the drop-down menu:
- As soon as possible
- As late as possible
- Fixed start date
- Mode: Users can choose from two modes for a task i.e. Tracking and Manual
- NOTE: If the task Mode is Tracking, then the Responsible User sends the notification that the task is in progress.
- Responsible User: To edit the responsible user details, click on the Option icon in the corresponding ${Actions} column. In the Responsible User dialog box, select a user and click on ${Save}. The selected user will now be displayed in the table.
- Workflow:
- Predecessor: To select one or more predecessor task, click anywhere within the cell and select Edit. In the Edit dialog box, select one or more predecessor tasks.
- Successors:
- Action: To execute the icons in the ${Actions} column refer Generic Features.
To create a sub task within a ${WbsElement.Name}
- Click on the expand icon (V) against a ${WbsElement.Name}.
- Mouse-over ${Actions} and select ${New} ${WbsElement.Name}.
- In the ${New} ${WbsElement.Name} dialog box, enter the details and click on ${Save}.
You can click on the Expand or Collapse icon in the table toolbar expand or collapse all the ${WbsElement.Plural}.
