Once you have set up your ${RoutingGroup.Plural} and Sourcing ${SourcingCapability.Name}, you can select from these to define the steps necessary to create and deliver a finished good or finished part. You can create a new ${Routing.Name}, a new from existing ${Routing.Plural} or new from a template.

How to create a new ${Routing.Name}

  1. Mouse over ${Actions} and select New ${Routing.Name}
  2. A new row is created in the table. Edit details as required for the editable cells. 
  3. Initially the Routing is in the "Draft" state by default.
  4. To change the state of the Routing from "Draft" to "Approve" click on the "Approve the current phase and advance to the next phase (if any) with a new revision" icon in the Actions column.
  5. The State of the Routing will change from "Draft" to "Approved".
  6. The following attributes are displayed in the default view:
    1. Routing: The name of the Routing. By default, on creating new routing details, the name is displayed as "Routing". The users can edit the details for this attribute in the table.
    2. Description: Click anywhere within the cell to enter a brief description for the Routing
    3. Factories: Click anywhere within the cell to view the drop-down menu and select one or more factories.
      NOTE: One or more factory details can be created on the Home > Sourcing > Factory tab.
    4. Sample State: Click anywhere within the cell to select the cell. From the Actions column, click on the Approve the current phase and advance to the next phase (if any) with a new revision
    5. Sample State Modified Date: This attribute is populated with the system date details automatically when the state of the Routing is changed from the default "Draft" state to the "Approved" state
    6. Sample State Modified By: This attribute details is populated automatically with the logged in User details when the state of the Routing is changed from the default "Draft" state to the "Approved" state
    7. Production State: Click anywhere within the cell and select it. From the Actions column, click on the Approve the current phase and advance to the next phase (if any) with a new revision
    8. Sample State Modified Date: This attribute is populated with the system date details automatically when the state of the Routing is changed from the default "Draft" state to the "Approved" state
    9. Sample State Modified By: This attribute details is populated automatically with the logged in User details when the state of the Routing is changed from the default "Draft" state to the "Approved" state
    10. Actions: For information on how to execute the icons in the Actions column refer Generic Features section.

Click on a ${Routing.Name} to create Technical Data Sheets and view the  ${Routing.Name}  property details on the TDS tab.
