On this tab, you can view and update the consolidated report of the inspection batch related activities. The applicable Inspection Sections are displayed with the edit option, to update an inspection result and to add a defect to the test specifications. Additionally, the list of batch error types, batch sections, and defects specific to an Inspection Batch are displayed on this tab.
SECTION: INSPECTION PROPERTIES
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:
- Inspection Batch: Displays the name of the Inspection Batch, which can be edited/updated.
- State: Displays the state of the Inspection Batch, which can be selected/cleared.
- Style Name: Displays the Style name that is qualified for the final inspection.
- Quality A Items: Displays the number of items from the Quality A item category, which can be edited/updated.
- Quality B Items: Displays the number of items from the Quality B item category, which can be edited/updated.
- Type: Displays the type of Inspection Batch. This column provides information to the Quality Inspector that the defect based inspection or the full inspection of all products present in the lot size has to be performed.
- Actual Inspection Lot: Displays the actual quantity of products present in the inspection lot, which can be edited/updated.
- Target Samples Count: Displays the number of samples from the inspection lot, which are targeted for inspection. This attribute can be edited/updated.
- Actual Samples Count: Displays the actual number of samples that are inspected, which can be edited/updated.
- Target Carton Qty: Displays the target number of cartons from which samples are selected for inspection. This attribute can be edited/updated.
- Actual Carton Qty: Displays the actual number of cartons from which samples are selected for inspection. This attribute can be edited/updated.
- Recommended Result: Displays the recommended result of the inspection batch, based on the current defect count.
SECTION: BATCH ERROR TYPES
This section displays the summary of batch error types with the current defect count.
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:
- Error Type: Displays the name of the Error Type that is defined in the Home > Inspection > Setup > Error Types tab.
- Acceptance Limit: Displays the name of the Acceptance Limit that is defined in the Home > Inspection > Setup > Acceptance Limits tab.
- Error Limit: Displays the error limit to pass or fail the inspection batch.
- Current Defect Count: Displays the current defect count that is identified from the inspection batch.
SECTION: BATCH SECTIONS
This section displays the summary of batch sections with the count of actual samples tested during the inspection activity.
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:
- Inspection Section: Displays the name of the Inspection Section. Click on the Inspection Section name to view its properties and test specifications related information.
- Subtype: Displays the subtype of the Inspection Section.
- Linking Type: Displays the linking type. The applicable linking types are No Link, BOM, Size Chart, Spec Data Sheet, and Style Review.
- Repetition Type: Displays the Repetition Type such as All, Static Value, or Percentage Value. This is one of the key elements used by a company to communicate to their Quality Inspectors. Quality Inspectors should conduct their test activities based on the recommended value of this attribute.
- All: A default value and it recommends that the relevant section should be inspected for all samples that are selected.
- Static Value: A specific number of samples should be inspected for this section. This value is generally used for BOM related tests, where quality tests are performed once per inspection.
- Percentage Value: A given percentage of the samples should be inspected for this section.
- Test Specifications Count: Displays the number of Test Specifications applicable to the related section.
- Repetition Value: Displays the Repetition Value of the related section.
- Repetition Percentage: Displays the Repetition Percentage value of the related section.
- Target Samples Tested: Displays the number of samples from the inspection lot, which are targeted for inspection.
- Actual Samples Tested: Displays the actual number of samples that are inspected, which can be edited/updated.
SECTION: INSPECTION SECTION TYPES
This section is displayed individually for each type of the Inspection Section Types, which are used to configure test specifications and to perform the inspection related activities.
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view of an individual Inspection Section Types:
- Parent: Displays the parent name of the Test Specification. Click on the Parent name to view its properties and where it is used in the Inspections.
- Name: Displays the name of the Test Specification.
- Description: Displays a brief description of the Test Specification.
- Code: Displays the code name of the Test Specification.
- Target Color: Displays the name of the Colored Material that is used in the respective Style.
- Images: Displays the image of the specification details. For example, the image of the colored material fabric, accessories, and so on.
- State: Displays the state of the Test Specification.
- Tags: Displays the applied tag names of the related Test Specification from the Home > Inspection > Setup > Test Specifications tab.
- Measurement Deviation Ranges: This attribute is applicable only for the linking type Size Chart. The applicable measurement deviation ranges are '<<', -2.50, -2.00, -1.50, -1.00, -0.50, 0.00, 0.50, 1.00, 1.50, 2.00, 2.50, and '>>'; where, the double pairs of comparison operators (<<, >>) indicate that they are out of range values. These measurement deviation ranges become the column names for the Measurement type of Inspection Section.
- Defects:
- Defect: Displays the name of the defect. Click on a defect name, to view its properties and where it is used in the Inspection Defects.
- Defect Counter: Displays the number of occurrences of a specific defect exists in an inspection batch.
- Response: This column is used to update the inspection result. The available options are Passed, Failed, or a blank value.
- Actions: This column provides the Delete and Add Defect options to manage the inspection related activities. The Delete option is used to delete an existing Test Specification and the Add Defect option is used to add a defect to the Test Specification. For more information, refer to Generic Features.
NOTE: In the Draft state of an Inspection Batch, the existing test specifications can be deleted and new test specifications can be added to the Inspection Sections.
How to add Batch Tests
- From the Parent column, mouse-over Actions, and then select Select Batch Tests. The Select Batch Tests dialog box is displayed.
- In the Select Batch Tests dialog box, select the check boxes corresponding to the required test specifications, and then click on Save. The selected test specifications are added to the Inspection Section table.
NOTE: Batch Tests can be added to the Inspection Section table only when the respective Inspection Batch is present in the Draft state.
How to add a Defect directly to the Test Specification
- In the Actions column of the Inspection Section, click on Add Defect option. The Add Defect dialog box is displayed.
- In the Add Defect dialog box, in the Select an existing Defect tab, select the check boxes corresponding to the required defects, and then click on Finish. The selected defects are added to the Parent table.
- If the required defect is not available on the Select an existing Defect tab, then click on Next. The Create a new Defect tab is displayed.
- In the Create a new Defect tab, enter details for the following fields:
- Defect: From the drop-down list, select an appropriate defect.
- Batch Error Type: From the drop-down list, select the applicable batch error type.
- Defect Counter: Enter the number of occurrences of the respective defect from the batch section sample.
- Click on Finish. The new defect is added to the respective Test Specification.
SECTION: DEFECTS
This section displays the summary of the inspection defects exist in an inspection batch. It is also used to add a new inspection defect to an inspection batch.
How to add a New Inspection Defect
- From the Inspection Defect column, mouse-over Actions, and then select New Inspection Defect. The New Inspection Defect dialog box is displayed.
- In the New Inspection Defect dialog box, enter details for the following fields:
- Defect: From the drop-down list, select an appropriate defect.
- Batch Error Type: From the drop-down list, select the applicable batch error type.
- Defect Counter: Enter the number of occurrences of the respective defect from the batch section sample.
- Click on Save. A new inspection defect is added to the Defects section.
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view:
- Inspection Defect: Displays the name of the Inspection Defect, which can be edited/updated. Click on the Inspection Defect name to view its properties.
- Defect: Displays the name of the defect. Click on a defect name, to view its properties and where it is used in the Inspection Defects.
- Code: Displays the code name of the defect.
- Batch Error Type: Displays the batch error type.
- Defect Counter: Displays the number of occurrences of a specific defect exists in an inspection batch, which can be edited/updated.
- Image: Images related to the inspection defect can be uploaded to this column.
- Comment: Displays the comment related to the inspection defect, which can be edited/updated.
- Batch Tests:
- Test Specification: Displays the name of the test specification. Click on the test specification name to view its properties and where it is used in the Inspections.
- Actions: This column provides Edit and Delete options to maintain the inspection defects. For more information, refer to Generic Features.
NOTE: Use the Custom Views option for the Inspection Sections, to manage the inspections related information efficiently.
NOTE: In the Passed, Failed, and Waiting For Approval states of an Inspection Batch, a new defect cannot be added to the test specifications or to the Defects table.
NOTE: The blank cell option initiates no action.
NOTE: The editable fields are displayed with a grey triangle in the lower-right corner of the cell.
NOTE: The commented fields are displayed with a red triangle in the upper-right corner of the cell.
