On this tab, the sections of the inspection report are added using the Inspection Sections that are configured in the Setup > Configuration > Type Configuration > Inspection Section Types tab. When you select an Inspection Section, the properties and the associated Test Specifications information are displayed. Additionally, the required Test Specifications can be added to the Parent table located under the Inspection Section table.
NOTE: New inspection sections and test specifications can be added/selected to this tab, only when the selected Inspection is present in the Draft state.
How to add a new Inspection Section from the Inspection Section Type
- From the Inspection Section column, mouse-over Actions, and then select New from Inspection Section Type. The New from Inspection Section Type dialog box is displayed.
- In the New from Inspection Section Type dialog box, the configured Inspection Section Types are displayed.
- Select the check box corresponding to the required Inspection Section Type and click Save.
How to add a new Inspection Section from an existing Inspection
- From the Inspection Section column, mouse-over Actions, and then select New from Inspection. The New from Inspection dialog box is displayed.
- Select an appropriate Inspection and click on Next. The available Inspection Sections are displayed in the New from Inspection dialog box.
- Select the check boxes corresponding to the required Inspection Sections and click on Finish. The selected Inspections Sections are added to the Inspection Section table.
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view of Inspection Section table:
- Inspection Section: Displays the name of the Inspection Section which can be edited/updated. Click on the Inspection Section name to view its properties and test specifications related information.
- Subtype: Displays the subtype of the Inspection Section.
- Linking Type: Displays the linking type. The applicable linking types are No Link, BOM, Size Chart, Spec Data Sheet, and Style Review.
- Repetition Type: Displays the Repetition Type such as All, Static Value, or Percentage Value. This is one of the key elements used by a company to communicate to their Quality Inspectors. Quality Inspectors should conduct their test activities based on the recommended value of this attribute.
- All: A default value and it recommends that the relevant section should be inspected for all samples that are selected.
- Static Value: A specific number of samples should be inspected for this section. This value is generally used for BOM related tests, where quality tests are performed once per inspection.
- Percentage Value: A given percentage of the samples should be inspected for this section.
- Test Specifications Count: Displays the number of Test Specifications applicable to the related section.
- Repetition Value: Displays the Repetition Value of the related section.
- Repetition Percentage: Displays the Repetition Percentage value of the related section.
- Actions: This column displays the Delete option and arrow keys to move up or down the required Inspection Section multiple times. For more information, refer to Generic Features.
How to select Test Specifications for the selected Inspection Section
- From the Inspection Section column, select the check box corresponding to the required Inspection Section.
- In the Parent table present under the Inspection Section table, mouse-over Actions, and then select Select Test Specifications. The Select Test Specifications dialog box is displayed with the available Test Specifications.
- In the Select Test Specifications dialog box, select the check boxes corresponding to the required Test Specifications, and then click on Save.
NOTE: In the Select Test Specifications dialog box, only the latest approved versions of Test Specifications are displayed.
The following attributes are displayed in the Default view of Parent table:
- Parent: Displays the parent name of the Test Specification. Click on the Parent name to view its properties and inspection names, where the respective test specification is used.
- Name: Displays the name of the Test Specification.
- Description: Displays a brief description of the Test Specification.
- Code: Displays the code name of the Test Specification.
- State: Displays the state of the Test Specification.
NOTE: If a newly approved version of the Test Specification is available, then the state of the related Test Specification is changed from APPROVED to SUPERSEDED. To retain the latest approved version of Test Specification in the Parent table, select the same Test Specification again through the Actions command, and then remove the Test Specification that is present in the SUPERSEDED state. - Tags: Displays the applied tag names of the related Test Specification from the Home > Inspection > Setup > Test Specifications tab.
- Actions: This column provides the Remove option to remove the required Test Specifications from the Parent table. For more information, refer to Generic Features.
NOTE: The blank cell option initiates no action.
NOTE: The editable fields are displayed with a grey triangle in the lower-right corner of the cell.
NOTE: The commented fields are displayed with a red triangle in the upper-right corner of the cell.
